404 — Page doesn't exist
What's happening
The page you asked us to scan doesn't exist at the URL you gave us. The page may have been moved, deleted, or the URL might be slightly off.
The fix
Open the URL in your browser. If the page loads, copy the exact URL from your browser's address bar (in case there was a small difference like a trailing slash or typo).
If the page doesn't load in your browser either, the page itself is missing. You'll need to either restore it, redirect it to its new URL, or remove it from the scan.
Try adding the URL again with the corrected version.
If you're seeing many 404s at once
Sometimes a customer's scan shows dozens of 404s. This usually happens after a site migration, a redesign, or a sitemap that was never cleaned up. The fix is usually on your end: either restore the missing pages, set up 301 redirects, or update your sitemap to remove the dead URLs.
Still not working?
If the page works in your browser but our scanner keeps seeing a 404, something unusual is going on (geo-blocking, authentication, or device-specific rendering). Reply to the error email you got and we'll take a look.
