⚙️How to Install SmartFix™ on Wix

Steps to following to add our SmartFix™ script to your Wix site.

To make use of our SmartFix™ feature, you will need to install a JS snippet on your Wix website.

The snippet needs to be added to your site’s global template, right before </body> tag.

Once installed, the remediation script will automatically run across your website and enable AI-assisted accessibility fixes.

Here are the steps you’ll need to follow to get set up.

Step 1: Locate Your SmartFix™ Script

After adding your domain to ACE™ Scanner, you will see the option to Set Up SmartFix™.

Here, you’ll find your unique JavaScript snippet.

To locate the script:

  1. Log into your AccessibilityChecker.org account

  2. Click on your domain

  3. Click Set Up SmartFix™

  4. Copy the script snippet provided

Step 2: Open Your Wix Dashboard

Log into your Wix account and select the website where you want to install the remediation script.

Step 3: Open Custom Code Settings

In the Wix dashboard:

  • Click Settings

  • Select Custom Code

Depending on your Wix version, this may also appear under:

  • Advanced Settings

  • Tracking & Analytics

  • Developer Tools

Step 4: Add the SmartFix™ Script

Inside the Custom Code section:

  • Click + Add Custom Code

  • Paste your remediation script into the code field

  • When prompted for placement settings, choose:

    • Place Code In: Body - end

    • Add Code To Pages: All pages

Step 6: Apply and Publish Your Website

After configuring the code:

  • Click Apply

  • Publish your Wix website

Important: Changes to custom code may not appear until the site has been republished.

Step 7: Validate the Connection

Return to your ACE™ Scanner dashboard in the SmartFix™ pop-up and click on Validate Connection.
