🔎 How to Find Your Website’s Sitemap

Updated this week

Your sitemap is like a roadmap for your website, and makes it easier for our tool to collect all of the URLs associated with your site. If you don't have your sitemap URL on hand, here's how to find it:

1. Try the Standard URL

Most websites automatically generate a sitemap. Start by typing one of these common addresses into your browser:

If your site uses WordPress with SEO plugins like Yoast or Rank Math, it’s usually at one of these URLs.

2. Check Your Robot.txt File

Try checking your robots.txt file by visiting: yourwebsite.com/robots.txt. This file often includes a line like: Sitemap: https://yourwebsite.com/sitemap.xml.

3. Look in Your CMS or SEO Plugin

Platforms like WordPress, Wix, or Squarespace often create a sitemap automatically. Check your SEO plugin (Yoast, All in One SEO, Rank Math) or your CMS settings, as it’s often listed there.

4. Use Online Tools

If you still can’t find it, use a free online sitemap finder like SEOMater or SEOptimer. These tools crawl your site and reveal the sitemap location.
